Conversion

What is a CONVERSION?

A conversion happens when a website visitor completes an action on a website. Depending on the campaign, a conversion could be defined in different ways.

Can you give me an example of a CONVERSION?

A conversion could be: signing up for a newsletter, making a purchase, signing up for a service, submitting a "Contact Us" form, or playing a video.

How can I optimize my campaign to get more CONVERSIONS?

A simple way to increase the number of conversions you are getting for your campaign is to make sure 1) your ad includes a Call To Action, and 2) your landing page directly links to the Call To Action on your ad.

Sophisticated advertisers who need conversions will start a CPA Campaign.

What is CPA?

CPA means Cost Per Acquisition, or Cost Per Conversion. In this online advertising model, an advertiser only pays when someone sees the ad, clicks, AND then makes a conversion on the site. This type of advertising is sophisticated because it requires the website or ad network you are working with to have the technological infrastructure ready to track everything a potential customer does on the internet after they click the ad. Some CPA campaigns track potential customers for up to 6 months after they click!
